Our Homes
Moving ranks right up there with going to the doctor, YUK!
Bob was not used to changing homes from a child to age 24, he lived in only two homes in Lincoln. One was on First Street. He could look out a back window and see the railroad yards. The next was at 336 B Street.
My dad loved to buy and sell houses and move on. Someone once asked him why. His reply, "I can't change wives or jobs so I change locations." As a child I experienced moving four times.
When Bob and I married, we moved four times.
One upside about moving means sorting and getting rid of items. It ranges from upsizing to downsizing. We experienced them all.
In each of the homes where we lived, we experienced the usual joys and sorrows of life.
Following my dad's example, we made improvements in each of the houses. This does not necessarily improve the value which depends on the market; however, it does improve salability.
