Riley
The story of the first time I ever saw Riley always brings a smile. I had gone to Lincoln for some activity and was staying with Jim and Cathy. I always looked forward to a visit with them and was used to seeing Anna, their American Eskimo dog, peering through the blinds of the front window when I drove up. This particular day, I drove up out front, looked up at the window and there were two Annas looking out the window at me. At first I thought I was seeing double!
Jim and Cathy had decided to rescue an Eskie to join Anna as part of their family. He was one big mess when they picked him up. He had not been cared for. It takes Jim to describe what they had to do to get him cleaned up. In addition, he had not been treated well and was not trusting.
With time and special care, Riley became a beloved member of their family. In May of 2013, they bid him a very sorrowful good-bye as he joined Anna and Peanuts in Pet Heaven.
