Peanut

Precious little Peanut. A beloved dog of Jim and Cathy. They rescued her from the Humane Society to join their other two dogs, Anna and Riley.

Jim always said, "Anna and Riley are the children and Peanut is Riley's pet. They were buddies. It was so much fun to watch them play.

Unfortunately, like BoBo, Peanut had a behavior problem. She probably was not meant to live in a multi-dog family. Jim and Cathy were forced to make the hard decision like so many that come along in life. They said a loving, tearful good-bye to "little sister." She is sure to be happy in Pet Heaven.

Remembering Anna

Another precious dog arrived in Pet Heaven this year and is being remembered here at the Family Zoo.
Her name was Anna Robertus beloved pet of Jim and Cathy Robertus. A common nickname was Anna Banana and she was quite the princess. She was a beautiful, petite American Eskimo. I know all pets are so very special, but Anna never ceased to amaze me.

When I would arrive for a visit at Jim's and Cathy's, there would be Anna with her nose pushed between the slats of the blinds behind the couch. She was "watching for grandmas."

The things she would do! Not the typical "Sit" "Roll Over" "Stay." Jim would ask "Anna, are you grouchy?" and Anna would bare her teeth and growl.
She loved to play with her toys. Jim would tell her to get a certain toy out of the box of many toys kept just for her. She would hurry over to the box and bring back exactly what Jim asked her to bring.
Anna didn't like for Jim to sneeze. She would bark and bark and jump up on his lap.
Then there was Anna flying! She would run around, work up to a full head of steam and fly up on the couch. She could perform this flying leap even in her senior years. Boy did I have to watch it when I was sitting in the chair drinking my morning coffee. The next thing I knew a white blur was flying up on my lap.

Anna loved to be loved.

All of the things I can talk about with Anna lose something with just words. Jim has videos for their memories of her in action and they will be a joy for them to review just how special Anna was.

To Anna: Grandmas offers you a tearful goodbye. "I know you were really sick towards the end; I know you feel a whole lot better in Pet Heaven, but another little chip has been broken from our hearts as we bid you farewell. I know Mommas and Pappas will grieve for quite a while and will never forget you."

I have added an Anna album at the Photo Album Link if you care to look at my favorites.
