An Epilogue (sort of)
Around eight years ago, Jim kept encouraging me to learn how to develop a website and said he would be my mentor/instructor. I would be responsible for Content. I don't think he knew just what he was getting himself into.
The first order of business was to pick a name. We decided to call it My Trixie. The name was registered and the first Mytrixie.com was launched.
Jim and I both refer to the picture along the top of the website as the masthead. This is the first My Trixie masthead.
Why the Name Trixie?
Trixie was my Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) and became the namesake and mascot for my website. She was born February 18, 2001. On February 18, 2013, she made her entrance into Pet Heaven. When I am ready, she will be memorialized at the Family Zoo. Unfortunately every time I open the website to do some work, there she sits almost smiling at me.
Jim greatly improved the masthead for the second My Trixie.com.
Again, I have turned to Jim and in the near future, a new masthead and buttons will take the place of my beloved Mytrixie.com. There will be a new name; however the content will all remain as it is today. Of course, I will keep adding more content in the years to come. I think the hardest thing for me to part with from the original website is the buttons. Those Paws have quite a history. I'm sure they will appear again somewhere; probably in a blog.
Smokey Joe's Cafe
Smokey Joe's Cafe was my brother's website where he first began his Elvis Era music, some family quizzes, photos. Many of the details escape me except a song played when you first opened the site.
Personal Note to Joe; Hey, Brother Joe, is there a blurb with the song somewhere you could put on Deacon Street just for those of us who enjoy nostalgia?
Like me, Joe's website has evolved. It is now Deacon Street with links to other websites he produces plus his own personal Content. The website address is www.deaconstreet.com
